Insight Myanmar was created to offer a fuller window into the country and its people. Through long-form conversations, we make space for the complexity that short headlines cannot capture: the voices of activists and artists, monks and meditation teachers, researchers and journalists, humanitarian workers and community leaders, along with people whose everyday experiences reveal something about life in Myanmar.

We explore politics and resistance, Buddhism and spirituality, history and culture, ethnic identity, food, music, art, the environment, and the many other threads that make up the extraordinary tapestry of Myanmar.

Our conversations are intentionally deep. Rather than reducing people to sound bites or defining them only by the crises they have endured, we give our guests the time and space to tell their stories in their own words. Taken together, we hope these conversations help listeners encounter Myanmar not as a distant conflict or a collection of headlines, but as a living, diverse, and deeply human place.

Ultimately, we want the world to see Myanmar in its fullness. Not only its struggles, but its resilience, wisdom, creativity, humor, traditions, contradictions, and beauty.
